Los Retros is a band formed by Mauri Talía, a first-generation Mexican-American from California. This band is inspired by Latin American pop songs and soft rock. As a Mexican-American, I also find myself being influenced by the culture I grew up in. It is nice to see how other people are open to the idea of exploring and using their cultural background to form their identity as an artist. Recently, Mauri Talía has expressed his religious beliefs as a Christian and has become more vocal about his faith. I wanted to create a promotional package of what could be possible if the group decided to make an album that focuses more on this transition.
Los Retros successfully creates nostalgic sounds that bring older and younger generations together.
